A few years ago, I designed some character concepts to help pitch a short film, The Last Doughnut. A dramatic retelling of the harrowing events that took place inside a doughnut shop, which led to the last doughnut on the ground and a girl in tears. DUN DUN DUUUN. It was my goal to demonstrate how simple character design and a minimal colour palette can produce impactful and expressive animations.
